No Prizes For My Blog!

Well, if there are prizes for blogs, I am certainly out of the running. I haven't blogged for so long!

Life has been busy with my new job etc. I haven't been much near a loom, knitting or sewing machine for weeks. However, I have acquired a Singer SK 120 8mm machine, which I talked about a few posts ago.
I am on the hunt for my floor loom! Yes, I am still hunting, believe it or not. There have been a few local sales, but either they were too wide, or beyond my budget. I am also torn between a jack loom and counter balance, I just want to make sure I make the right purchase.
One the one hand, most experts agree about the counter balance loom being the better choice, but with a jack loom, I will have the option to extend the number of shafts at a later date, and perhaps I will be able to fit in the much talked about back hinge treadles. Oh! the quandary I find myself in is maddening at best!

I am in the process of planning some winter wear, however, they are ideas only. I have to translate them into patterns and then the real thing. I have so little time, with travelling to work and back, it has turned out to be a full time job :(. It's about a two and a half hour travel time, to the office and back, not to mention the heaps of chores that must be done at home. I don't know how people who work a full day, do it!!!!

I will try and blog more often, "try" being the very operative word here. As soon as I have a moment, I will do a photo montage of the lovely Singer SK 120 knitting machine. It's such a smooth carriage, and being an 8mm gauge, means I can use Bond tools, as well as tools from the Singer HK 100 plastic bed machine.
